happy post #4

Apparently it has been almost two weeks since my last appreciative post, which feels just crazy. Time really flies, doesn't it? Either way, I think it's definitely time for some more positivity.

Recently, these things have made me happy and appreciative...

- BBQs! Last week I met up with some of my friends from high school for a BBQ, and apart from it being really pleasant to meet them, it was also great to have a BBQ. I had halloumi and veggies, with a side of fresh potatoes and hummus. And this Friday we had a BBQ at my dad's; this time fish packages, and of course halloumi again.

- Being able to enjoy what's left of this summer in the countryside. We've had a heatwave here in Sweden (just like in many parts of Europe) during the last month, but I spent the majority of July working (really bad timing there...) and just thought the heat was unbearable. Now I'm finally at my dad's place in the countryside (he still lives in the house where I spent more than half of my childhood) and I'm able to actually enjoy the summer. I find summer in a large town or a city is a bit suffocating, but in the countryside it's rather lovely.

- My new summery shirt that I accidentally bought in H&M a little while ago. I really didn't mean to, but I was passing through the city centre, went in for a quick look and walked out with a light blue, thin and oversized cotton shirt. It's lovely to wear on a hot summer day, especially paired with my next favourite...

- Finding the perfect jeans to cut into shorts. I found a pair of my mum's old Crocker jeans which turned out to fit me perfectly, and so I decided to cut them into shorts. I don't wear shorts a lot and much prefer skirts and dresses, but I've actually been enjoying wearing these. They're actually comfortable!

- Banana "ice cream," which is an old favourite from last year that I've rediscovered this summer. Whenever a banana goes spotty I put it in the freezer, and then when I'm craving some ice cream I'll just get it out of the freezer for about 15 minutes before I mix it into "ice cream." Most of the time I add cocoa powder as well. It's so much like regular ice cream, but actually even tastier and also much healthier.

- Pai's Rosehip Oil. I actually bought this back in March, but after using it for a while my congestion issues got worse and I decided it was due to this, but turns out it probably wasn't. A little while ago I decided to give it another go though (because I hate buying things and then not using them), and strangely enough my skin has been loving it. At least I think it's this, as I noticed a change from when I began using it again. I apply it in the evening and everytime my skin looks really healthy in the morning. I really hope it'll continue like this!

- That my sister is finally here to visit! She lives in Japan and I don't get to see her very often, so having her around is absolutely lovely. It does however mean that I'll be a bit more absent on here for the next few weeks, as we'll be a bit busy (much more than I've been so far this summer), visiting family and friends here and there, etcetera.

Oops, this was a long one!

Have a lovely week, everyone!

Love, Mimmi
