in photos : a weekend in gothenburg

This weekend my mum, my sister and I headed down to Gothenburg to visit my other sister (I've got two older ones). We had a lovely weekend and combined just spending time together at my sister's place with some touristing in the city. Gothenburg is the second largest city in Sweden and is located in the south-west. It's quite a lovely city, with a lot of things to do and see, and we had such a great time. I thought I'd share some photos that I snapped over the weekend, so here we go!

We walked around quite a bit, here and there. There were a few showers now and then, but mostly the weather behaved.

One day we visited this beautiful place: Café Kanold. I think it's rather famous, and I definitely understand why.

I had this brownie, which was one of the best I've had in my life.

We ate food too, of course. Lots of food. The first picture is from an amazing vegetarian Indian restaurant (where I ate until I felt like I didn't need to eat again for about a year). The second shows a delicious beetroot & feta salad.

Finally, we visited "Universeum," which is a public science centre. It features a space exhibition and an experiment department as well, but the animals were the most fascinating. They had a section with marine animals, a rainforest hall with tropical animals, and a part with the venomous reptiles.

I hope everyone else had a lovely weekend! Thanks for reading!

Love, Mimmi.
