the harry potter tag & photos from the exhibition

I saw this tag at Katy's blog a little while ago and since I'm a huge potterhead I thought that I just had to do it. I'm afraid I'm going to be rubbish at answering though, since I'm never able to decide on favourites and am really bad at giving clear, precise answers. So prepare for some ramblings! I'll try to keep it as short and sweet as I can though....

I also visited the Harry Potter Exhibition which I wrote about before once again. This time you were allowed to take photos (probably because there's only a little over a week until the exhibition closes) so naturally I went snap-crazy, so I thought I'd share a few of the photos I took between my answers. Here we go!

1. Which is your favourite book?

Difficult question! I love all of them, for their different characteristics and themes, but if I have to choose I think it'd be Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince. I like how dark and serious everything gets and how the plot gets more intricate and serious, while the magic of Hogwarts is still there.

2. Which is your favourite film?

Hmm... I like the films because I grew up with them and because I just love the world of Harry Potter, but honestly I don't think they're very good adaptions. I agree with Katy though; the first one is the only one that doesn't feel too rushed. Otherwise I rather like Half-Blood Prince, for some reason.

3. Which is your least favourite book?

I'll have to agree with Katy and say Chamber of Secrets. It's a lovely book, but it's the one that's least exciting and the easiest to forget.

4. Which is your least favourite film?

I think I'll have to say Chamber of Secrets on this one too. I love it for nostalgic reasons (and because they're all so cute), but it's forgettable just like the book.

5. What parts of the books/films made you cry?

Basically whenever someone died. Sirius, Dumbledore, Fred, Lupin, Tonks, Hedwig, Dobby... I think while reading the books I cried a few times when Harry had a particularly vulnerable moment. His relationship (or lack thereof) with his parents just makes me really sad :(

6. If you could hook up with any character, who would it be?

Neville in 7th grade if he'd look like he does in the films, haha. Maybe Sirius when he was younger, and perhaps Fred or George. Neither Sirius nor Fred would even be possible though... (sobs)

7. Who is your favourite character?

I honestly can't pick! I have a special place in my heart for Fred & George, Ginny (book-Ginny, that is), Luna, Neville, McGonagall, Snape, Sirius, Lupin.... Okay, that turned out to be quite a few people.

8. Who is your least favourite character?

Umbridge. Seriously, she makes me so mad.

9. What is your favourite line?

"It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."

And in Half-Blood Prince when they all transform into Harry and Fred & George turn to each other and say "We're identical!" I love that moment.

10. What would your patronus be?

I think it would be some sort of a bird. Perhaps an owl? But since I'm not a night person, it'd be a diurnal one, like a snowy owl or a northern hawk owl (yup, I did google).

11. If you could have the resurrection stone, invisibility cloak or elder wand, which would you choose?

Definitely the invisibility cloak. The other ones don't really tempt me at all.

12. Which house would you be in?

Ravenclaw. The test on Pottermore agrees with me. I even did it twice just to be sure!

13. If you could meet any member of the cast, who would it be?

I want to meet so many of them, but I think I'll have to say Maggie Smith. She's a brilliant actress and seems like such an intelligent and inspiring lady. On top of my list are also Alan Rickman, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Helena Bonham Carter.

14. If you were on the Quidditch team, which position would you play?

I'm not very good at sports, but I think chaser would fit me best. I think I'd manage to get the quaffle through the hoops, at least after some practice.

15. Were you happy with the ending?

Yes! I'm not too fond of the epilogue (like so many others), but I really like the general ending. As in, what happened before the epilogue. I think Jo did a great job in tying everything together.

16. How much does Harry Potter mean to you?

I cannot explain how incredibly much it means. It was a huge part of my childhood and I know it will always have a special place in my heart.

Here's a bad quality instagram picture of part of my Hogwarts uniform, to finish off this incredibly nerdy post!

If any of you fellow potterheads have ever done this tag, please link it! I'd love to read :)

Have a wonderful weekend!
