Brunch at the Hillhead Bookclub

I signed up to way too many clubs and societies during the Freshers' Fair and am now in the midst of attending a few first meetings with these clubs to see which ones I like the most. Last Sunday I met up with the Brontë Society, which is basically a society that appreciates the Brontë sisters and the Victorian era in general. I'm honestly more of an Austen fan, but the people I met were all really nice and friendly and I had a lovely time!

We met at the Hillhead Bookclub, which is a very charming café/restaurant/bar in the West End which does really good breakfast, brunch and of course, food. Well, I've only been there once, but everyone says it's lovely and my first visit wasn't a disappointment! I opted for pancakes with berries, butter, honey and jam, and although they were a bit burnt on one side they were absolutely amazing otherwise.  There were a lot of tempting things on the menu, including many vegetarian options, so I can't wait until I have an excuse to go there again! The prices were very affordable too, which is good if you're a poor student like I am.

I hope you're all well!

Love, Mimmi
