glasgow so far - a wee update

So, I'm finally properly installed in my student room. Today I've been grocery shopping and sort of unpacked everything. I feel less nervous than I did this morning, when I said goodbye to my mum (which was so difficult, by the way...) and headed off to the student apartment all by myself, but I can't say I'm not at all nervous for the week to come. I'm also really excited about everything, though. Getting to know people, learning to know my way around uni, making myself at home in my room and in the city.... and to be honest, I'm excited to start studying!

Anyway, I thought I'd show you a little bit what mum and I got up to during the two days that we were in Glasgow, just so that this place isn't completely empty!

We walked to the university to have a look around, and it was every bit as beautiful as it is in pictures. I can't believe this is really my university!

We wandered around quite a bit on Argyll Street, Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street; the three main shopping and strolling streets (it seems). So far I really like the city centre of Glasgow! It's lovely to be able to walk around without there being too many cars around.

We had afternoon tea at Cup Tea Lounge, which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it! This picture is missing a few sandwich rolls though, as we were too hungry to be patient....

The last evening we had dinner at an Indian place called Mother India. It was so tasty, I ate until my tummy felt like it was bursting!

Okay, I'll leave it there. I'm prepping for a busy and hopefully exciting Fresher's Week, so I'm not sure when I'll have the time to sit down and blog. Hopefully soon, though! I hope you enjoyed this little update. Thank you all for the kind words on my last post! They all made me smile.

Love, Mimmi.
