Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum

The Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum is a funny place. It's located in a beautiful baroque building in Kelvingrove Park and holds a vast range of collections. You can find anything from French, Dutch and Scottish painting to natural history to Mackintosh furniture and design to clothes, armour, and many other things. There's an odd mismatch of things and you never know what to expect when walking through it. In a way that only adds to its charm, however.

To avoid getting the Sunday blues last Sunday, my friend and I decided to get out and do something. Since I had never been to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, we decided it was time for a visit. Wandering through the beautiful old building whilst looking at the wide variety of things proved to be a really good way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

After our weekly dose of art and history, we went to a lovely wee tearoom nearby to fuel our batteries, but I'm saving that for another post.

What's your favourite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?

Happy Friday everyone!

Love, Mimmi.
