Taking Stock

I've seen these posts pop up here and there now and then, most recently over at Daydreams of Summertime, and I always enjoy reading them. Since work and university has taken up most of my life recently, I thought I'd do one myself. I have the weekend off, and next week is reading week, which means that I have four days off in a row - something I'm really happy about, since the last time I had a whole day off was over a month ago. Granted, I'll have to spend my days studying, but at least I won't have to leave my flat! Anyhow, here is what I've been doing recently...

Reading: I just finished A Vindication of the Rights of Woman, and I'm about to start Paradise Lost - both for my English Literature course.

Watching: Downton Abbey every Sunday (or sometimes Monday night),  and every now and then I procrastinate by watching vlogs.

Buying: Lots of food, new AW clothing, and a wonderful official Ravenclaw cardigan (like the nerd I am).

Listening: To the Harry Potter audiobooks - I'm currently on the Half-Blood Prince.

Feeling: Stressed and anxious about university work.

Planning: To see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London next summer (hoping to get a hold of tickets in a few days!)

Wishing: For a white winter, please and thank you. Last winter wasn't the best, so I'm crossing my fingers and toes we'll get proper snow.

Enjoying: Autumn and all that comes with it.

Eating: Porridge with almond butter every morning and a lot of comforting curries for dinner. Plus too many sweet treats and snacks.

Hoping: That I'll be able to get tickets to the Harry Potter play.

Thinking: Too much, really.

Lacking: Time.

Trying: To cut down on the sugar (which is proving very difficult...)

Drinking: Lots and lots of tea. And coffee in the mornings.

Wanting: All of the things. The list is too long, honestly.

Cooking: Warming curries, bean burgers, simple pasta dishes...

Deciding: What to have for lunch... (I'm always thinking about the next time it's okay to eat).

Wearing: Cosy jumpers, black skinny jeans, chelsea boots, my navy pea coat and my tartan scarf. Except for when I'm home, when I'm usually in my jammies, my university hoodie, socks + slippers, wrapped in a blanket.

Needing: The motivation and skill to write a really good essay for English Literature.

What have you been doing recently?

Love, Mimmi.
