On Saturday we were all a bit tired after a full day at the Studio Tour followed by a late dinner and a pub trip the day before. Therefore, we set out a little bit later (though still quite early) and had a quieter day of just wandering around, pausing now and then to refuel our batteries.

The first stop was Daunt Books, which was one of my requests. It's located in Marylebone and wasn't too far from our hotel, so we walked there, stopping at Costa for breakfast on the way. Daunt Books was such a gorgeous bookshop, exactly in my taste. I couldn't leave without buying something, so I bought Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility in the Penguin Classics Clothbound Collection. I've read them all, but I only own them in a horrid massive paperback collection book thingie, so I'm starting my new collection now.

After that we went to Souli Food, where I had a delicious vegan avocado sandwich and a cup of tea. Having rested our legs a bit, we headed off to Covent Garden and wandered around a bit, popping into Paperchase and a couple of other places. We then had a coffee at a café, followed by a beer at a pub, before we set off to our dinner place of choice. One of us steered the way to Seoul Bakery, which is a tiny place with graffiti on the walls and a constant queue, that serves really authentic but cheap Korean food. I had bibimbap (customised to be vegan), which was really delicious. I hadn't had Korean food in ages, but I do like it a lot, and the value for money was incredible!

After dinner, we set off to find somewhere to have a nightcap before heading off to the hotel, tired as we all were. Saturday turned out to be a really lovely day of just exploring London in good company.

Love, Mimmi.
