Debenhams Flowers

I love flowers, I really do, but I'm terrible when it comes to potted plants, which have a tendency to die after only a few weeks! I generally stick to cacti, but sometimes it's nice to brighten up your home with something a bit more colourful. When Debenhams contacted me* and offered to send me a bouquet from their Valentine's line, I just couldn't say no. Being a student, flower bouquets aren't something I can normally afford, but I do love them. Last spring I regularly bought daffodils, which I'm sure will become a regular occurrence again as I simply love having flowers inside.

Debenhams Flowers have a wonderful range of bouquets for every occasion, and they will deliver to your home any day of the week. The flowers are guaranteed to stay fresh for 7 days, which I find fantastic. Is there anything more disappointing than buying flowers only to see them drop the next day? They also have a special range of Valentine's Day Flowers, which is perfect if you want to treat your special someone to a lovely bouquet. Now, I'm not in a relationship, nor am I particularly romantic, but I definitely think us singletons need flowers too, so why not treat yourself?

Picking a bouquet was very difficult. Part of me wanted to just go for some simple tulips (which are among my favourite flowers), but I decided to pick something a little bit more special and opted for the Pink Rose and Lily Bouquet. The bouquet arrived promptly on Saturday morning, carefully packaged to prevent damaged. They also arrived with a sachet of flower food and instructions on how to take care of your flowers. The roses were already in bloom when the bouquet arrived, but the lilies were not. I found it a bit of a shame that they weren't synched, but within a couple of days the lilies started to bloom as well and the bouquet looked truly put together! And I've been so impressed by how long the roses have lasted. They're still looking as beautiful as the first day! Although I'm not generally a big fan of pink, I love the combination of the soft pink roses and lilies with the darker green. I also love the contrast between the classic, sweet roses and the more spectacular lilies.

Not only do Debenhams have an incredibly big range of beautiful bouquets - their flowers are also very affordable, and there is definitely something for every taste and budget. Moreover, Debenhams have kindly offered a discount code that will give you 25% off any bouquet (apart from the 'Flowers by Post' range). Simply enter the code DFBLOG25 on their website!

Do you enjoy buying flowers for your home?

Love, Mimmi.
